SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Google is donating near $7 billion to permit San Francisco to extend providing relinquish double-decker and other Transportation services to low-income urban center kids.

City officials announced the contribution on Thursday and said it leave extend an extra two years of the unloosen pass across political program. The programme is currently funded by a regional expatriation agency through and through June 2014.

The donation comes as Google and other engineering companies face criticism over individual buses they utilization to weft up employees in San Francisco. Engineering workers are besides accused of impulsive up rents and gentrifying the urban center.

San Francisco City manager Ed Gypsy Rose Lee said the contribution shows Google is a rightful better half in addressing San Francisco's affordability crisis for lower and middle-income families.
